World e-Commerce Growth Projections and

This is a list of the top ten online languages/countries that are projected for 2005. Two big online languages, Portuguese and Russian, were left off this 2005 projection, I don't know why, but I found other resources that have this info, and almost all of the other "smaller" online presences as well (another chart below this one).

If you compare users for 2002 to users for 2005, you will notice that some countries are growing faster than others (China in particular) and others are almost standing still. This is important information, but it can be deceptive… it is important that you look at the current and projected online spending trends for these countries / languages. Below, look at my World eCommerce Growth Projections chart.

Forrester Research Predicts $6.8 Trillion for 2004

Forrester Research predicts that by 2004, international online spending will reach $6.8 trillion. This huge amount comprises Forrester's projection for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions online. The analyst firm projects that while the United States and North America currently preside over the majority of online transactions, that will shift in the coming years as Asia and European nations become more active
